Just got in late last night after 4 days of excitement and food and adventure in Tokyo. So much fun and a few surprises! As promised in our little teaser from last week, we managed to hit EVERYTHING on our agenda of sights to see.
Are you wondering if we made it to the top of Mount Fuji? It will be revealed soon...
We've got loads of pictures and video to share, but also unfortunately, practical boring duties pending like groceries and laundry and work. However, we are in the process of editing it all.
Please sit tight... here's what's up ahead this week:
George Clooney and $25 cocktails
Rickshaws and Ninjas
Nightingale droppings and more Japanese ancient beauty secrets
Special "shopping" in Tokyo
The first order of business, however, is a video travelogue of our Mount Fuji hike. We'll post it as soon as we can.
In the meantime, here's a glimpse of some of our Tokyo adventures...
Does anyone out there in blogosphere have any strategies for beating the post-vacation slump?

I totally understand the let down of coming back to reality. It's a BUMMER!
I don't have any great solutions. I can offer a comfy seat (we finally found some chairs) on my balcony with a glass of sweat tea! :)
The best way to get over post vacation blues is to start planning your mext vacation! I can't wait to hear about your adventures.
how 'bout enjoying a post-vacation typhoon party with Margaritas? I agree - planning the next trip is a great way too. The video was amazing, and so are the photos. You've had one heck of a trip! Thanks for sharing!
Blog about where you've just been ;) and plan the next trip.
I've just nominated your blog for an award on the blog carnival on my site - www.insidethetravellab.com - does that help?
When we come home, we are so happy to be with our dogs again that we don't really feel the post-vacation blues. So, maybe you need to get a dog?
By the way, what is that gorgeous red donut-looking thing in the middle of the pictures? Looks delicious!
Jason and Amy,
I'm feeling better today. Thanks for the tea!
Chris and Amy,
Yes! It's best to stay in vacation mode and start planning the next vacation... thankfully, that one is ot too far off!
Aviva,
Love the margarita idea. I need to remember to keep the fridge stocked and alcohol supply ready to go the next time!
Abi,
Thank you! I'm honored...glad you've been enjoying it!
Akila,
I've been begging for a dog,so maybe that's the perfect excuse. The red donut thing is a berry baked donut from a wonderful little donut shop in Tokyo called Nevyn homemade. We stumbled on it one day and then read about it in an airplane magazine a few months later...can you believe it's healthy? well, sort of...
